(actually I know sdc is the disk I recently attached, but how can I tell sda,sdb,sdc, from the SCSI connection? In this condition the hard disk will always be represented by the special sda device file. The SSD or any other storage device will be represented by sdb, sdc, and so on. Example: sda1 sd -> stands for SATA disk, SCSI disk, IDE disk or similar.
